The A6 is a solo 2/autox type tire, tremendous grip and doesn't need a lot of time to get to a working temperature so its perfect for the "parking lot twisty" stuff. Doesn't have the durability or endurance for any kind of extended track use, so don't plan on taking them to a track and running 30 minute lapping sessions.
The R6 is a track tire, awsome grip and can stand up to lapping sessions without going "off". I ran these on my Vipers and they were a terrific tire for track days. Even though they're a DOT approved tire, they don't have enough tread depth to run on the street (though I use to run them going to the track and back, just hoped that it didn't rain or I was in for a white knuckle ride all the way home). Very predictable as you approached the limits.
If you're looking to do 1/4 mile, then a full-on drag radial is the weapon of choice.
